Mónika graduated in 2003 as a geographer at the University of Debrecen (with a focus on regional planning, landscape protection and European studies). Between 2003 and 2006 she was involved in a PhD programme in place marketing at the University of Debrecen and a post graduate programme at the German Language University of Budapest (International Economic Affairs). Since 2006 she has been working as a consultant at MEGAKOM Development Consultants; presently she also works in a senior management position.

Her consultancy and management activity is based on multi-year teaching and research experience in regional and urban development. Her specialities include strategic planning in several topics (environment protection, economic development, cultural heritage, urban mobility), EU-funded programme evaluation and the preparation of various development projects, particularly for the public sector – also in an international environment. Reliability and attention to detail are her key strengths. Due to her structured way of thinking she is able to see through complex problems and create integrated solutions.
