It would be a mistake to think that all problems our modern society faces can be solved locally, or even just within the country. The various member states of the EU often have similar challenges, to which they can respond jointly and in close cooperation through transnational and cross-border projects. Knowledge transfer between countries is vital for professionals to build on each other’s experience instead of experimenting with parallel solutions (trying to reinvent the wheel, so to speak): to see what works in practice and how. By following this method, they can adapt good practices, often backed by a partner who has already successfully implemented it – and they can also play this supporting role themselves for others.

The high-level language skills of our team, combined with our extensive experience in regional and urban development enables us to efficiently support the preparation and implementation of both transnational and cross-border projects, including the following services:

  • Project development and funding – During their years of experience the team of MEGAKOM has gathered a wide collection of good practices in almost every potential problem area; they can generate project ideas tailor-made to the client’s needs. Our colleagues navigate the veritable maze of transnational and cross-border funding sources easily so they can direct the partners to the most appropriate one for a given problem and solution.
  • Searching for partners – The key to the success of any transnational or cross-border project is a reliable partner (or partners). Our staff maintains an extensive network of contacts throughout Europe so they can build and nurture strong partnerships.
  • Project preparation – The structure of every call for transnational projects is fundamentally different, with only a few core similarities. For a project proposal to be truly relevant to a given call, thorough professional expertise is required; we should also keep in mind that these applications must be written in English in most cases.
  • Project implementation – Transnational cooperation is not a foreign field to our employees: we support our clients and the implementation of their projects both from the background (e.g. by writing mandatory project documents in English) and “face-to-face” (e.g. by representing the partner during transnational partner meetings).
