In recent years, co-financing to the development projects of towns, institutions, businesses, and non-profit organizations has been provided almost exclusively by European funds – without them, most development initiatives would simply not have been in place. No surprise, then, that successful applications have a high value. We think professionals who are able to prepare winning applications are equally important. Why?

We see more and more examples of projects which are only optimized for getting funding, but close to impossible to implement, and do not bring about the expected results. On top of that, many of such projects result in facilities the sustaining of which places major additional financial burden of the “lucky” beneficiary for many years to come.

Since Hungary’s accession to the European Union the team of MEGAKOM has been involved in the design and delivery of over 200 development projects (with a total value exceeding 3 billion EUR). We consider a development project successful – and urge our clients to do the same – only if the following 3 criteria are met:

  • Winning application
  • Realistic, financially feasible development
  • Meeting the expected – and financially sustainableresults

To achieve them, most of the time our team actively participates in project development, prepares the funding application, and supports the implementation process with project management and administration services. We often find that actually getting the awarded grant and implementing the project successfully (and within the required parameters) are as difficult and complex as preparing and submitting an application (or sometimes even more so).
